April 6th, 2024: Appreciating Life

We may plan meticulously, but life often unfolds in ways unforeseen, necessitating a response rooted in newfound understanding and personal revelation. Many peers, including myself, are contemplating retirement and charting our paths accordingly. 

As I reflect on the prospect of the latter years of life, I'm acutely aware of the preciousness of each passing day, recognizing that God's timing doesn't always align with our own. Witnessing friends endure the sudden loss of their partners to illness has been poignant, particularly as they had envisioned sharing their later years together.

In such moments, gratitude proves invaluable as individuals ponder what it means to "move on." Hope for the future emerges as we learn to appreciate past experiences, discerning the steadfastness of God throughout our journey. Each of us embarks on a unique path to uncover the profound significance of these encounters.
