April 19th, 2024: Growth
We journey through life in pursuit of growth, a fundamental aspect of human development. Parents track their children's height milestones, celebrating each uttered word. We engage in lifelong learning to expand our knowledge and seek investments to nurture personal wealth. Self-discovery unfolds through study of scripture, revealing layers of our identity.
Beyond our earthly endeavors, growth aligns with God's divine plan. He yearns for our comprehension of His essence and urges us to embrace responsibilities in nurturing the world and sharing His love. As our hearts expand, we become vessels for His compassion. Growing minds appreciate the intricacies of God's beauty in creation, while spiritual growth unveils His presence within.
Conversely, stagnation equates to spiritual death. Farmers recognize arid fields as signs of decline, and stagnant churches may transform into secular spaces. Halting personal growth diminishes our contribution to life's tapestry.
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,
rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." - Colossians 2:6-7
