Aug 4th, 2022: Acknowledging God

 

Heat waves are intense around the world this summer.

Global warming has been the main topic in many circles.

Climate experts once again voice their dire warnings.

We don't seem to be able to reach a worldwide consensus with meanings.

We seem to believe that we can come up with some resolution.

We have ignored the fundamental problem is our human conditions.

Our responsibility is to manage this world while knowing it is already damaged.

Scientific knowledge might give some understanding but not the eternal advantage.

As a preacher once said to his congregation,

The earth has its own shelf life; that is the biblical indication.

Our attempt to correct the pathway to self-destruction can be so futile.

We fail to address self-serving temptations while remaining spiritually infantile.

Maybe these heat waves are signs of warnings from God to us all.

We cannot face the outcome of our sinful conditions without acknowledging His call.

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." - Proverbs 3: 6
