Aug 14th, 2022: An Image of Heaven
We got up early Saturday morning and went to City Beach in Whitefish, MT. We came across a swimming competition and decided to watch swimmers compete in 5-mile, 3-mile, and 1-mile races. We decided to watch and cheered for everyone, even the one that came last. We appreciated their spirit and determination. The water was pretty rough on the lake that morning.
Have we ever thought that God will cheer us on as we work through different parts of our life journey? He understands the challenges, the hardships, the headaches, and the discouragement we experience at times. He calls out to us and tells us to push ahead and keep going.
I don't think God will condemn us when we fail. He will give us instructions and directions about what to do next. A swimmer stopped in the middle of the race to gather her strength and then resumed swimming. Sometimes we need to do that as well. We need a moment to reflect and ponder about where we should go and what life is about, and then keep on living our life with God and for God.
All swimmers were applauded by the crowd and greeted by their families and friends. Maybe heaven is like that. God will tell us "Good and faithful servants"; then the rest of God's family will welcome us to be among them.
"“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much."- Luke 16: 10
