July 17th, 2022: The Matter of Pronoun
If one identifies oneself with chocolate,
the pronoun might be (Her/She), and no need for debate.
If one identifies oneself with a dog,
the pronoun can be (Woof/We); a new one in the catalog.
If one identifies oneself with a Male Asian,
the pronoun can be (Wok/Wee); no more discussion.
If one identifies oneself as a thief,
the pronoun should be (Used to be Yours/Now Mine) to be brief.
A cowboy was asked to identify himself.
(He/Yahoo) and it is engraved on his belt.
One has to identify oneself to a police officer after being stopped for speeding.
(Who/Me)? You ought to have me confused with someone else. One is pleading.
My wife has decided that she has a specific pronoun for me.
(Dishes/Dude) she proudly proclaims while having a coffee.
Sometimes I wonder what God will have in mind for our pronouns?
(Forgiven Sinners/Children) as we once were lost and are now found.
