Aug 28th, 2024: Learning To Be Still

To be and remain in God's presence is a lot harder than we think. Our hearts feel restless, and our minds are overwhelmed. Why?

We are sinners, and it is not comfortable to be in God's holy presence.

We feel the need to explain ourselves as if God has no idea what is going on in our lives.

We don't like silence because we seem to equate it with judgment.

Yet, God desires our stillness so that we might discover His love.

"He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

    I will be exalted among the nations,

    I will be exalted in the earth.”" - Psalm 46:10
