April 9th, 2024: Reflections After The Eclipse

Yesterday, my friend and I watched the eclipse after our meeting. Although it wasn't a full eclipse from our vantage point, witnessing the partial event was still remarkable. The image featured in this blog was captured by my cousin in Montreal.

In certain regions of Canada, municipalities declared a state of emergency due to the eclipse. Large gatherings in darkness can pose safety risks, as uncommon darkness can unsettle some individuals.

In many ways, we're navigating a spiritual eclipse. Malevolent shadows attempt to obscure our connection with God, the ultimate source of light. Without spiritual protection, understanding our circumstances becomes perilous.

Perhaps when the darkness recedes, we'll truly value the light and not take our relationship with God for granted. Some may find comfort in the chaos of darkness, avoiding accountability and growth.

Just as we can't gaze directly at an eclipse without protection, we struggle to embrace the light obscured by darkness without proper reception. In doing so, we risk harm and remain blinded to the truth.

"There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever." - Revelation 22:5
