April 22nd, 2024: Grace Upon Grace
Sometimes, good intentions yield positive outcomes, while at other times, misplaced sincerity results in additional headaches. Occasionally, a well-meaning deed can bring about more difficulties than anticipated.
People may exploit our generosity, leading to deeper trouble. The decision to do the right thing is often contingent upon the outcomes. We aren't accountable for others' actions with our assistance; rather, we're responsible for choosing whether or not to help.
God graciously deals with us, yet how often do we abuse that grace? We find ourselves confessing the same sin repeatedly, despite knowing better. Sometimes, our interactions with others evoke the same negative thoughts.
Belief in God's grace entails trusting in His constant presence in our lives. Being gracious to others involves maintaining a commitment to them, even when their actions contradict our advice.
"For from hhis fullness we have all received, igrace upon grace. For jthe law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." - John 1:16-17
