April 21st: A Profound Experience

Many mothers have confided in me about their struggles with feelings of inadequacy and failure in their mothering journey. The well-being and success of their children often weigh heavily on them, unlike some fathers who may not share the same sentiments. Many men are less forthcoming about their parenting shortcomings compared to women.

Motherhood is a profound experience, incomparable to anything else, especially the miracle of childbirth which welcomes a new life into the world. It's both a privilege and a tremendous responsibility. Despite our imperfections, we strive to raise our children with the hope of providing them with a better future.

Through listening to these mothers, I've come to understand that parenting involves a delicate balance of grace, truth, and enduring through suffering. We must learn to extend forgiveness while imparting wisdom to our children. Yet, we also must acknowledge and support them through their own trials and challenges, much like how we perceive God's guidance in our own lives.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."  - Romans 12:2
