April 3rd, 2024: Foolishness is Rampage
April 1st is known as April Fool's Day. It is the day when people love to make outrageous statements about themselves, life, and other life events. It is expected somehow. Foolishness is all that beneficial in reality. It can cost us dearly when we conduct our lives in the absence of wisdom. How do we discern foolishness?
"A fool is fiercely independent." - (Proverbs 28:26)
Being independent from God's plan for the world is the utmost foolishness. We have seen enough of that in the world today, and we are now dealing with chaos that follows. Being independent from God will lead us to the desert of our human soul. Everything we see then will be simply hallucinations of our own desperation.
"A fool makes light of sin." - (Proverbs 10:23)
We don't have to look very hard to see the evidence of this. We even see learned people who proudly proclaim that AI can save us from our shortcomings and sin doesn't exist. There is no need for a Saviour they say. Yet, the suffering of this world continues to cover many aspects of human life.
"A fool loves to talk, but hates to listen." - (Proverbs 18:2)
Many years ago, leaders would talk about their needs for prayer time and time to reflect. They acknowledged the grave responsibilities to nations and their people. Nowadays, we see leaders who love to hear their own voices. They would not listen to the counsel of those who disagree with them.
Maybe we unknowingly have more than one to deal with fools that we love to content with.
