March 30th, 2024: Thanks God for The Resurrection

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." (John 11:25)

The news of my friend's wife passing early yesterday morning brings the hope of resurrection sharply into focus. Though her battle with cancer was known, her sudden passing still comes as a shock. 

After our conversation, I took a walk, feeling a mix of gratitude and sorrow. She exemplified unwavering support as a wife and provided exceptional care for her family, including four wonderful daughters and cherished grandchildren. While her departure feels premature, we find solace in trusting God's timing.

The power of the resurrection reminds us that death isn't the end; our hope lies in the day of Jesus' return. This belief isn't mere wishful thinking but a historical truth. With this conviction, we honor and give thanks for the lives of those who faithfully served and loved God and others.
