March 28th, 2024: Lessons from Shopping at Costco

Shopping at Costco is always an adventure, beginning with the quest for a parking spot—an exercise in both patience and assertiveness. Yet, it's an intriguing shopping destination where we somehow never leave with fewer items than planned.

If we applied the same dedication to organizing our lives as Costco does to arranging its stores, we'd lead remarkably fulfilling lives.

The layout is deliberate: each product placement aims to entice patrons to pause, explore, and hopefully purchase. Similarly, our initial choices each day can shape our entire trajectory.

Costco's abundance presents a challenge in decision-making, with its vast array of goods spanning food, clothing, and medications. Likewise, do we trust that life holds more for us than we realize? We must discern wisely from the opportunities before us.

The store's organization facilitates smooth navigation despite crowds, underscoring the importance of establishing clear priorities for a fruitful life. Learning to steward God's blessings enables us to bless others in turn.

Perhaps there's purpose in the parking ordeal, teaching us to await divine revelation with patience while vigorously combating anything hindering our connection with God.
