March 1st, 2024: Hot and Cold

The temperature in Alberta can change very quickly and drastically during the winter. Two days ago, I woke up to -18°C in the early morning and encountered +7°C by noon. Such rapid fluctuations can pose problems for some people, especially those prone to migraines.

Similarly, people can exhibit 'hot and cold' behavior in matters of faith and morality. Society as a whole can also be fickle in its moral choices, with events unfolding today that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

While we may not be able to control the weather, we can certainly navigate the challenges to our moral fortitude. The correctness of our choices is not determined by the majority; rather, it hinges on whether our worldview acknowledges and consistently follows God. Without God's influence in our culture, we may struggle to find our own voices.
