March 10th, 2024: Delight Yourself in God

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4

After the last blog, I kept pondering about the passage I quoted. What does it mean for us to delight ourselves in God?

We experience a sense of joy being in His presence. It grants us the affirmation and the deeper sense of belonging to Him. It brings out the reality of our intimacy with God.

We also become more aware of God's actions around the world and His work in our lives. We become more sensitive towards His revelations. Things begin to make more sense in the bigger and longer term.

We experience His commitment to us as His people. His patience is more than we can fathom. His understanding of our human condition is beyond our own. He is truly present in our life through both painful challenges and joyful excitement.

We then are free from fears of rejections. We are more content in growing who we are in God.
