Feb 28th, 2024: Blessings and Responsibilities

We now have a grandson, and he's absolutely adorable. Naturally, we're biased. His presence in our lives has prompted us to contemplate the future beyond our remaining years. One question we've pondered is how to impart life's lessons to him.

1. His identity wasn't assigned at birth; it's part of God's plan for him to be who he is. He is created in God's image to be male.
2. His identity isn't shaped by brand names; rather, it's about manifesting God's name and essence.
3. His identity isn't determined by his acquaintances; it's about helping others know God through his love for both God and them.
4. His identity isn't confined to material possessions; it's revealed through his guidance by God and the Holy Spirit.
5. His identity isn't rooted in his toys; it's formed by the choices he makes.

We can indeed expand on this list a lot further, but this is a good starting point. Our responsibilities continue to growas God blesses us with our grandson.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” - Isaiah 54:13
