Feb 24th, 2024: A New Look At Immorality

Meaningful conversations about morality and its implementation are hindered when individuals feel unsafe and disrespected, which unfortunately seems prevalent in public discourse today.

Creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their views without fear of being shouted at is essential. Each person deserves to have their voice heard, and when we make others feel unsafe, it constitutes an immoral act. Ridiculing others is also immoral, as it stems from a belief that we are somehow superior to them.

The pursuit of consensus often takes precedence over genuine dialogue. Ignoring the presence of wrongdoing or denying its impact on our relationships only perpetuates the problem. If we cannot even agree on the existence of sin and its consequences, it becomes challenging to expect agreement on other matters.

“…their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools…” - Romans 1:22
