Feb 10th, 2024: Potholes

Potholes are a hassle, especially on snowy days, and it's frustrating when they're right outside an airport's car rental depot. "Welcome to Winnipeg – have you encountered our potholes?"

Life's journey also presents spiritual potholes. Some seemingly attractive events can be traps, like our perception of freedom masking a reluctance to acknowledge our sinful condition. Being refrained from destructive indulging in fleeting pleasures can be misconstrued as abuse.

Just as physical potholes can be camouflaged by muddy snow, people can be deceived by others' lies, damaging their self-esteem and skewing their self-awareness.

In contrast, God offers a life without potholes, inviting us to journey with Him. 

"There is a way which seems right to a man,

But its end is the way of death." - Proverbs 14:12
