Feb 19th, 2024: Family Day

This Family Day long weekend in many parts of Canada prompts reflection on the evolving nature of family. While diverse perspectives exist, I'm grateful for my encounters with children nurtured within the traditional family framework, which I believe aligns with God's design and serves as society's cornerstone.

It's concerning that some young individuals are growing up without a clear sense of identity, navigating a metaphorical desert of self-discovery where illusions may lead them astray. Amidst societal shifts, the sanctity of the family unit faces challenges from various quarters, including governmental and educational systems. Addressing these challenges requires upholding timeless truths and values, including those reflected in the Ten Commandments, rather than undermining them.

Let's acknowledge and appreciate the traditional family structure as a divine blueprint, recognizing its intrinsic value and importance.

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:10-12
