Feb 12th, 2024: Thoughts on Super Bowl

Yesterday was Super Bowl . Many people hosted their own parties as they watched the game together. Some bosses in the US would assume that a percentage of their employees will either be late or won't show up for work today. After all, it is the biggest football game of the year.

A good number of people watched the game not because they were interested in football but because they were interested in their gambling bets. A lot of money was lost and gained at the same time. It was either ecstasy or misery for some people.

Being a Christian is the most precious and demanding engagement in life. We are prepared for the final day by living each day with our commitment to God and His people. It demands discipline, practice, and endurance. Focusing on the last day means having the awareness of God's activities and presence daily. We don't need to bet because we already hit the jackpot eternally.

Well, I am happy the Chiefs won. My wife is from Kansas City so it is appropriate for me to cheer for them. It was an amazing game to watch.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.' ” - John 11:25-26
