Jan 7th, 2024: Diversity, Equity And Inclusion

The existing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies implemented by many governments and institutions might not effectively eradicate racism in the long term. If we assume that young individuals from specific racial backgrounds face reduced opportunities for success, we're overlooking numerous crucial factors essential to providing a supportive, nurturing environment for their growth.

Children require the presence of both parents during their formative years to feel secure and guided. They need proper guidance and education to tackle the forthcoming challenges. Merely assuring college acceptance despite inadequate grades doesn't foster genuine pride. Instead, we should empower them to compete fairly and achieve success based on their own merits.

Poverty presents another critical issue. Without instilling hope, poverty tends to perpetuate itself. Supporting single parents dedicated to caring for their children by enhancing their skills and aiding their access to meaningful employment is crucial.

There's a concern that the current DEI approach might inadvertently foster another kind of discrimination by inadvertently promoting a sense of entitlement. Asserting "I deserve college admission because of my skin color" contradicts the idea of equality. Each individual is created equally, and we should strive to live by this principle without introducing additional divisions based on race or ethnicity. Embracing and living by equitable standards is key, as these principles align with the values we believe in.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." - John 13:34
