Jan 12th, 2024: Stop Boasting

Something isn't right when we boast about being one of the best countries in the world, yet we suffer a severe housing crisis. We proclaim to welcome refugees with open arms, yet we lack adequate housing for them. Many young people struggle to afford a house.

At times, I'm uncertain whether climate change will cause humanity's extinction or if we're causing it ourselves due to our lack of wisdom and compassion. We may proudly champion environmental causes while standing atop the grave of spiritual poverty and moral corruption. It's akin to building a bunker-like house to keep intruders out while poisoning ourselves with an unhealthy pursuit of immortality. Death will arise from within.

We promote the use of electric cars, yet we limit electricity use in manufacturing facilities and charge extra if they exceed the cap. These facilities create jobs and support their workers in paying their bills. Additionally, many refugees have found employment in these places.

Protecting our world isn't solely about technology or resources; it's about deeply committing to honoring the gift God has bestowed upon us. It's about responsibly managing and stewarding God's resources.
