Dec 24th, 2023: Expect the Unexpected

Isaiah 7:14

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel."

This was the prophesied sign of Jesus's birth. The prophet also revealed His name to us. God continues to communicate with us through angels, supernatural revelations, dreams, and other people in our lives.

The problem we face today is our reluctance to believe in the supernatural. We have reduced our understanding of the world to mere physical and intellectual exercises and achievements.

Christmas serves as a reminder that God is actively involved in our world supernaturally. If the existence of God could be confined by some form of man-made algorithms, God would be too limited. Having faith involves a commitment to expect the unexpected from God and His dealings with the world.
