Dec 14th, 2023: Reveal The True Gift

 

Have you heard the story about a husband who attempted to conceal his wife's Christmas gift in the kitchen oven? The wife, unaware of this, decided to preheat the oven to cook her roast, not realizing the hidden gift. You can probably guess the outcome from there.

At times, we tend to hide the gifts bestowed upon us by God from others, often due to a lack of appreciation for these specific gifts. However, the absence of our gifts can negatively impact the community.

Similarly, some churches conceal God's ultimate gift from their people. Despite celebrating Christmas, they fail to emphasize its true meaning. When this occurs, Christmas loses its significance.

Gifts are intended to be opened and cherished. When they remain unnoticed, they cease to be gifts, diminishing their value over time. Let's genuinely celebrate God's gift this Christmas by acknowledging Jesus's account in human history.

Romans 8:31-32 -
 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him over for us all, how will he not also with him freely gift us all things?"
