Nov 5th 2023: Uncivilized War?

War is a brutal and uncivilized act, resulting in the loss of innocent lives, escalating destruction, and unimaginable human suffering. It becomes impossible to discuss peace when one side seeks the extermination of the other, and compassion cannot prevail while hatred festers.

Having grown up in a war-torn environment, I've learned that common sense is vital for survival. Americans and Canadians stranded in Gaza due to their delay in leaving after October 7th are now victims of their own naivety. Civility cannot exist in the midst of such atrocities, with fear reigning supreme and causing more death and destruction.

Hostage situations often take a tragic turn when the captors refuse to release their hostages and use them as shields. Lives are lost on both sides, making it crucial for the hostage takers to surrender. It's concerning that leaders in the Arab world have remained silent, and calling for a ceasefire now seems futile, as the events of October 7th are likely to repeat themselves.

"Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs." - Proverbs 10:12

"In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin." - Psalm 32:6
