Nov 30th, 2023: Heaven and Hell

I like this quote. I also like the fellow, not because of his acting skills but because of some of his interactions with people off the big screen.

Many people believe or think about heaven. I have been asked a few times about my thoughts concerning heaven and hell. Here is my general response as a Christian:

   - Life on earth is as close as believers can get to hell.

   - Life on earth is as close as unbelievers can get to heaven."

Many people have also inquired about the afterlife. Somehow, many of us don't believe that death is the end of all things. We feel as if something is missing or unfinished.

We cannot deal with death more meaningfully until we believe that life is initiated with a purpose and divine meaning. Perhaps we are more in tune with what God has in mind for us in life than we are willing to acknowledge.

By the way, living life with the desire to be liked by others can be a sure passage to hell.

"He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury."

Romans 2:6-8
