Sept 30th, 2023: Fall, A Metaphor of Renewal

Autumn is here; it's not just a tale,

A vivid sign of renewal, where Christians set sail.

Leaves don hues of crimson, gold, and brown,

In this grateful Fall, purpose is found.

Trees shed their attire, their leaves they retire,

A metaphor of repentance, it inspires.

We shed our sins and burdens, a few,

Through prayers and faith, our spirits renew.

The crisp, cooling air of fall caresses our face,

Reminding us of God's forgiveness, His amazing grace.

Nature paints a masterpiece, indeed,

As God forgives our sins, and a new self is freed.

The harvest brings bounty, God's presence we embrace,

Thanksgiving fills our hearts, in this sacred space.

Gathering around the table, we are truly free,

Thank You, Lord, for all Your gifts to me.

Autumn winds whisper through the trees with ease,

Conveying God's sweet decrees, as they please.

Every rustling leaf sings a sacred song,

A melody to which we all belong.

Let us seek a deeper view,

Where our faith is renewed, so true.

Through nature's changes, we hear God's call,

In every season, He renews us all.

Psalm 51:10

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
