Sept 19th, 2023: Live Our Faith in Stadium of Life

In the field of faith, Christians have our drive,
Like players on the gridiron, in our lives.
The game of life and its purpose, we play,
Seeking the heavenly end zone, our power display.

Our playbook, the Bible, our instruction and creed,
In its revelation  and wisdom, we find what we seek.
Just as a team unites, our spiritual body well-defined,
In oneness  with God's love, we aim to bind.

The kickoff, a baptism, a new start, reborn,
Our sins washed away, in unfathomable grace we're adorned.
Through mistakes and completions, we advance down the field,
With faith as our protection, in God's loving plays, we yield.

The quarterback's vision if the next play, starts with a Christian's prayer,
To seek understanding in God's playbook, in every down trial.
We pass through life's confusion, facing each evil test,
With God as our coach, we overcome our own mess.

In the huddle of fellowship, we feel each other's support,
A committed fellowship, a heavenly comfort.
With teammates in Christ, our gameplan won't slide,
Encouraging each other, in confidence we stride.

As the game clock winds down, the end in sight,
A Christian's journey continues, we fight with all of  might.
Our hope in the future, and God's name proclaimed,
We press on in faith, through blessings and pain.

So, in life's grand stadium, our running game in place,
With God's love and guidance, we find our space.
In the fight for our faith, we'll never be the same,
Our right to live our Christian life, in Jesus' name.

“But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” – 1 Timothy 6:11-12
