Aug 6th, 2023: Do We Want to See

The song says, "Open Our Eyes, Lord. We Want to See Jesus." What do we see when we see Jesus? Do we really want to see what Jesus sees in this world?

Do we want to see the growing self-centeredness as everyone fights for their "rights" while denying their contribution to society? We have used Covid as an excuse for the absence of commitment and the lack of excellence. Sometimes, we live in a time when people tell their employers when they want to work instead of being told when to show up for work.

Do we want to see the denial of personal responsibilities when pursuing personal pleasures? When we take away the consequences of sin, we start using words like personal struggles, inability to deal with alcohol, inability to commit, etc., to justify our behaviors.

Do we want to see the continuing exaggeration of what we are able to do with our algorithm in the absence of spiritual values and meaning? Mere physical existence and emotional awareness without any spiritual depth will continue to devalue our life and our ability to innovate.
