Aug 4th, 2023: Lessons from Farmers

I have many farmer friends, and through them, I've come to appreciate their perspectives on God and His blessings. Although not earth-shattering, it is beneficial to consider their approach and experiences. Life connected to the soil holds a significance that urbanites like myself may not fully grasp.

Good farmers understand that caring for their land is treating God's gift with the utmost care. They continue to develop thoughtful approaches to preserve their farms' capabilities.

The harvest is their primary commitment, and they work tirelessly to protect it. They water, spray, and attentively watch over their crops, knowing that without this commitment, we wouldn't have food on our tables.

Farmers also understand the uncontrollable power of nature. Faith plays a crucial role in their lives, and prayer and hard work complement each other without contradiction.

Perhaps we can learn from them and live our lives with unwavering commitment to God's desired harvest. We can work diligently to care for His gift while being prayerful about the challenges in our broken world. Let us strive to know what is right and needed, and take action accordingly.

"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." - 2 Corinthians 9:10
