Aug 31st, 2023: A Wok of Human Soul

In the kitchen, I find too much heat,

A wok and a life of faith align, so sweet.

Both need processes with fervent dance,

Having their own flavors in different circumstances.

A wok's flames might quickly rise,

Our faith ignites, reaching for the skies.

Seasoned with hope, love, and care,

A Christian life, eternal purpose we dare.

In the perfect wok, ingredients unite,

As our soul becomes one with God's light.

We stir the mix till harmonies bloom,

Finding God in a sacred room.

We toss and turn, the wok transforms,

Through trials, faith grows warm.

Challenges make us strong,

Resilience as we ask God to correct the wrongs.

A wok, diverse in cuisines it brings,

A Christian life too, with many scenes.

Grace and truth are common threads,

Like spices in a wok, well-cultivated spreads.

So wok with tremendous zeal,

Our life journey, truth in Jesus reveal.

The sizzling faith's aroma, wide it spreads,

Our wok, our soul, where the divine treads.

"For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?" - 2 Corinthians 2:15-16
