Aug 28th, 2023: Facing God

On Sunday morning in Anaheim, I woke up and watched "Face the Nation." It's a news program that interviews various political figures about significant events in the US and around the world. The show aims to hold these figures accountable.

What kind of questions would we have for these individuals if the name were changed to "Facing God"? Almost everyone featured on this program seems to have ulterior motives and seeks voters' approval. Considering everything happening right now, it might not be a bad idea to pursue God's approved plan for the world.

This program is heavily sponsored by advertising. Can objectivity exist under such circumstances? Some ads promote medications that relieve pain and anxiety. Interestingly, this new program makes me feel more anxious and aware of pain. Another ad features a brand-name car with the tagline "Love is (the brand)." It's presumptuous to say that on a Sunday morning. Love is defined by the essence of who God is.

"Do not hide Your face from me. Do not turn Your servant away in anger;Y ou have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation!" - Psalm 27:9
