Aug 25th, 2023: A Day to Remember
Trying to fathom a friend's pain.
Today is the day of his sons' funerals,
His emotions are consumed in all.
I pray for his rest tomorrow,
As his heart is rooted in sorrow.
I ask for God's amazing love,
So he may see hope from above.
I believe in God's everlasting presence,
So he might be comforted by having that assurance.
The sun appears as the rain subsided.
Neither life nor death will erase His love; it's undivided.
Psalm 73:26 - “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
