Aug 16th, 2023: Heat Wave, An Image of Spiritual Life

In the heat wave many challenges we find,

They test both heart and mind.

Scorching sun and air so dry,

We struggle to survive under the sky.

Just as in the heat wave we find ways to strive,

Christian souls face much testing time to survive.

Spiritual battles, faith's endurance tried,

Seeking strength and confort from Jesus's side.

Like withering trees, our hearts can ache,

In both heat and trials, we seek serendipity to take.

Just as water revives dry land's plight,

God's grace replenishes souls as we fight.

Heat waves and spiritual tests may compare,

Both call for resilience, faithfulness and steadfast prayer.

Through hardships we faced, we grow and learn,

In fiery trials, our fires for God brightly burn.

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
