June 9th, 2023: A Conversation Between Two Parrots

 

Among green trees, where sunlight beamed,

Two parrots gathered, and their eyes gleamed.

One asked the other, with wings spread wide,

"Is God our divine guide?"

The first parrot declared, feathers all bright,

"God is with us, day and night.

On a hot day with a gentle breeze,

In the colorful flowers and towering trees."

The second parrot listened, feathers all blue,

"How can we see God? If that's true.

Is He beyond our reach?

Is He so far for us to seek?"

The first parrot pondered, beak slightly agape,

"God is within us and occupies our heart's shape.

In kindness and love that we bestow,

In forgiveness and truth that we show."

They talked more together; these two were so wise,

Underneath the azure and cloud-filled skies.

Together they experience God's grace, boundless and true,

And how it permeates everything we do.

In every single life moment, we can see,

God's whispers, setting our spirit free.

In the beauty of nature; His awesomeness we embrace,

His divine presence, we see every place.

"One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple." - Psalm 27:4
