June 8th, 2023: Different Paths...Different Outcomes

"But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,
  which shines brighter and brighter until full day.
The way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
  they do not know what makes them stumble."

Proverbs 4:18-19

A few lessons we can learn from these verses.

1. The path of the righteous: It is the light of dawn. It gradually becomes brighter until it reaches daylight. Understanding and righteousness will continue to grow. We will gain a deeper connection with God.

2. Growing and getting better: The picture of increasing light tells us righteous people continually seek personal growth and improvement. Following the path of righteousness will develop our character, wisdom, and relationship with God.

3. The way of the wicked: It is deep darkness. It tells us that those who choose a path of unrighteousness, characterized by wickedness, immorality, and disregard for God's commands, will experience confusion, spiritual blindness, and many stumbling blocks in life.

4. Lack of self-awareness: This is very common in life when we pursue wickedness. We disregard the consequences of our actions. Our choices lead us further away from the light, causing us to stumble and fall without realizing the real cause of our downfall.
