May 16th, 2023: Lying Lips

 

Every time authorities want us to comply, they refer to science.

As if scientific findings can overrule our conscience.

They don't want to entertain contradictory scientific reasoning.

They go ahead with their own agendas and have no worries about the day of reckoning.

They accuse those who question them of conspiracy theorists.

Others say their policies fit the model of globalists.

Truth is a scarce commodity nowadays.

People go about their desire as they may.

Conscience is another story.

It is hard to find in our quandary.

We need to take a deep breath before we listen to our political leaders the next time.

Deception is the end game they have in mind.

Honesty is not that common in public life.

We are left to wonder what they would say the next time.

Proverbs 12:22 - The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.

1 Peter 3:10-12 – For whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.  For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.
