May 13th, 2023: Longing for Relationships

One of the severe handicaps many young men and women face these days is knowing how to build meaningful relationships with one another. Many have ended up using money to have these types of relationships. Many young men have been preyed on by 'women' who lured them into the trap of sending money with the promise of relationships. They discover that these are not real people. They are not even women.

The deception of the internet has destroyed many lives. Some suffered from betrayal. Some feel so stupid for doing what they did. Some were lost for words when they discovered the truth. The common themes among these people are low self-esteem and lack of self-understanding. Many of these young men don't have good relationships with their fathers. Many have lost the appreciation of what it means to be men.

Loneliness and desolation are the outcomes these folks have to endure. One young man told me recently how he can be so stupid. It is another kind of self-talk he doesn't need in his life. They are all lies. These fellows have not got a chance to discover what it means to be created in the image of God and for His pleasure.
