March 22nd, 2023: A Mother's Prayers

She cries for her son.

He is lost and has been wandering

She stays up with the light on.

He has not called, and her pain is deepening.

She prays for him day and night.

He has no idea what he is facing.

Her faith is the foundation of her fight.

He listens to other voices, and they are deceiving.

She waits for him in the quietness of the room.

She hopes to hear the sound of the unlocking door.

He is out and gets involved with stuff that will make his life doomed.

She tries to listen to God as her heart aches furthermore.

She asks to protect her son because she doesn't know how.

He is so deep in booze and other substances.

God grants her the needed peace of the here and now.

He can also grab her son in an instant.

The son comes home very late one night.

He is totally wasted, and he makes too much noise.

He doesn't hear his mother but sees her room light.

He is about to knock when he hears her praying voice.

He sits down and tries to listen to his mother's conversation with the Almighty.

She gives thanks to God for her son and asks for his redemption.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things, have passed away." - Revelation 21: 4
