March 20th, 2023: God Will Overcome The World

Admittedly, I am keen on watching and following March Madness tournament. College Basketball is a lot more fun and exciting to watch. I am not doing very well with my bracket. It is not in that good shape after the first week of competition. We witnessed two #1 rank teams (Purdue and KU) get knocked out by lower tank teams.

These lower rank teams came to play with confidence and discipline. Their players rose to be the occasion to serve notice to their opponents in the tournament. Both games were close ones, and that made thrilling basketball.

We know that we are ranked very low according to our governments and otherworldly authority. The power that be has been beating on Christians for a while now. It is ok talking about sexual freedom, but it is unacceptable for Christians to voice their moral convictions. Many claims that they cherish diversity while suppressing the differences in ideas and thoughts. Many boast that they protect the environment while creating an incredibly destructive environment in dealing with what is true.

March Madness tournament will end, and the madness of this world will do as well. I believe that we will be the come-from-behind team. The offense of the world will be in disarray. Their defensive scheme will be dismantled. The transition of wickedness is far inferior in comparison to the godly transformation in people's lives. In desperation, evil will continue to commit many fouls.

Hope and joy will overcome despair and destruction. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

"For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" - 1 John 5: 4-5
