Feb 25th, 2023: Perfect Love Drives Out Fear

 

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." - 1 John 4: 18

Being afraid is more common than we know.

Even we try not to show.

We hide our fears with all of the best.

We pretend nothing and get nothing out of our chest.

Parents have fear about their children.

We do all we can not have them broken.

Lovers have fear about one another.

So love won't go astray further.

We live with fear in a society we put together.

God is no longer our common denominator.

We fear because we don't seem to understand.

We will be punished for having the conviction to take a stand.

Fear has invaded all segments of our life.

We have given into darkness without a fight.

"Are you afraid of where your life is heading?" I asked a young man once.

He stared at me for a moment. "Can something go right for a change?" he winced.

We are living in fear because we are not right with God.

We are more into ourselves than we thought.
