Feb 24th, 2023: Do You Use That Saw?

 

I was unsure whether I should laugh or be horrified when I saw this picture. Sometimes the lack of awareness of the environment can bring great harm. Sometimes it can just be pure stupidity.

I have seen many aspects of human life that represent that saw.

Addiction to various substances is more prevalent than many people are willing to admit. Most of the time, when someone tells me he doesn't have a problem with alcohol, the opposite tends to be the truth. He stares right at his problems and continues to cut down his life.

Addiction to self-hatred is the biggest lie that many of us face. We don't seem to have the ability to see the big picture. We can only see what is wrong with ourselves and continue to dig a deeper hole in life that impacts us negatively.

Addiction to being indifferent is another way we become dead even though we are alive. We have no desire to take our place in the world and just sleepwalk through it. We have no energy to care. Our Motto of life is "Whatever."
