Feb 23rd, 2023: Be Patient in Listening

 

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!" - Psalm 37: 7

There is too much noise in the world.

They all demand our attention and force us to utter words.

Knowing patience and exercising discipline to do so are always challenging.

Sometimes we talk because we are afraid of listening.

Listening demands us to open our hearts and minds.

We might see things and are no longer blind.

Sometimes we talk because we are afraid of silence.

We have no idea what to think in the midst of bewilderment.

We are too impatient to wait for God.

We would open our mouths before we get a nod.

We talk because we want to gain control over others.

Talking without reflection can take away our impact as influencers.
