Feb 10th, 2023: The Spirit of Truth

 

Psychics call themselves spiritual consultants these days. I had an encounter with one at an airport not too long ago while waiting for a delayed flight. She approached me and said:

"I see something special about you. You have such a radiant countenance."

I was taken aback and didn't answer her right away.

"If you like to know more about what I see, it will be $X," she continued.

Now I realized what this conversation was about.

"If you know the God I worship, you will praise His name and not me," I finally replied.

"I would tell you more about him without charge if you are interested," I continued.

She didn't know what to say. She ended up apologizing for bothering me. I told her the offer stands whenever she is ready. She went on to ask whether I believe that God is a spirit. I told her, "I believe that Holy Spirit lives within me so that I know how to live my life with God."

It was an unexpected encounter. She stayed quiet after that, and it might be a good thing. She might need the time to think through things.

John 14: 17

"Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."
