Jan 7th, 2023: New Year's Resolutions?

 

New Year's resolutions are something we think about.

Not too many of us would speak it out loud.

Mine has not changed much over the years.

I aim to live with simplicity and trust in God without fear.

Many have struggled because they live over their means.

They face problems they wish they would never see.

Charity is another focus that I continue to work on.

Learning to give sometimes grants us peace for now and beyond.

Simplicity shows us that we cannot be at the center of life.

We need the courage and discipline to step aside so others can shine.

Being gracious will take us where we do not want to go by choice.

It is when we let others have a voice.

Another year has begun with all of its expectations.

We once again learn how to walk with God in contemplation.

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
