Jan 2nd, 2023: What Do We See?

He is young and physically able to move around.

Mentally his mind might not get off the ground.

He walks awkwardly on a train platform.

Holding on to his belonging, he tries to manage his internal storm.

We can speculate how he gets there.

Some even try to pontificate about what is fair.

God does not see him according to his background or addiction.

God sees him as His creation.

Wherever he goes on this day, God will walk with him.

God understands his need to be redeemed.

He mumbles some words to someone next to him.

No one responds, and his chance is slim.

His head lowers, and his eyes are closed.

Someone taps on his shoulder and gives him some food and clothes.

God is there, indeed.

Heaven and earth are intertwined when someone lives beyond the Creed.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" - Matthew 25:40, 45
