Jan 25th, 2023: Be Aware of Our Words

Our words can have a long-term impact on others.

Many leadership materials have addressed this issue in one way or another.

Words can build people up.

They can see life as a full cup.

Words can take people apart.

Some might suffer a broken heart.

Words can make relationships stronger.

People will be able to share joy and laughter.

Word can create doubts.

That is what manipulation is all about.

Words can induce hope.

They take us off the downward slope.

Words can connect our thoughts and ideas.

We gather our life's fragmented pieces.

We should never forget that Jesus is the Word.

With that Word, God reveals His love for the world.

Ecclesiastes 10: 12

"Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,

 but fools are consumed by their own lips."

Proverbs 15: 1

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

Ephesians 4: 29

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
