Jan 22nd, 2023: What is Life?

 

Life is short.

We should not have it aborted.

Life is challenging.

It was the original sin at the beginning.

Life is a gift.

No one should be adrift.

Life has purposes.

It should have meaningful focus.

Life is a drag.

And we continue to fag.

Life is unfulfilled.

Our hearts are ridden with guilt.

Life is full of joy.

We avoid its decoys.

Life is shifty.

We dwell in self-pity.

Life is wonderful.

The presence of God is powerful.

Life is peachy.

We learn to be free.

Life will end.

We fail to make amends.

Ecclesiastes 9: 5-6

"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever they have no more share in all that is done under the sun."
