Jan 11th, 2023: Be Still and Discover His Benefits

Do we know what we treasure most in life?

We say we love God, yet He is not always in our minds.

We want to build our houses on solid ground.

Our life stability is nowhere to be found.

We are distracted by the desires of this world.

Our houses are on shifting sand as we move forward.

It shakes our foundations, and our minds wander.

We have no comprehension of God's reminders.

We want Him to leave us alone.

We know we should pursue Him, but we don't feel it in our bones.

We are impressed by lies and false promises.

Our hearts go after our spiritual mistresses.

We try to listen, and we hear nothing.

We don't even hear our heartbeats because of our own grunting.

God then told us just to be still.

So our hearts can be filled.

In stillness, we discover who we are in God, and He is with us.

There is no need for running or kicking up a fuss.

Exodus 14:14 

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Psalm 103:2 

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits..."
