Dec 30th, 2022: Welcome the New Year...

How are we preparing for the coming of the new year? We might want to look at this past year with some honest reflections. We cannot anticipate what is new without proper measurements of what has passed.

Some traditions dictate that we open the door before midnight to let the old leave so that we can make room for the new to come. What do we need to let go of so that we can welcome what God has in mind for us this coming year?

We should stop listening to lies: in the news, from the entertainment industry, from the mouths of others, of our cultures, of our leaders, and our own hearts.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here." - 2 Corinthians 5: 17
