Dec 24th, 2022: Are You Excited?

The passenger sat next to me on a flight to Winnipeg this week and was coming home. She was excited about seeing her husband again. They have traveled a lot for work and have not been able to be with each other much. She talked about activities they had planned for their holidays. 

Today is Christmas Eve. Many are still traveling home. Many are trying to find a way to get home. Their travel plans have been affected by cancellations and delays. Being at home is a blessing for many people as they reconnect with their loved ones. 

Some people find their journey home for their holiday stressful. Many have to revisit situations that they prefer to leave alone. Facing broken relationships does not promise a restful holiday.

God waits for us to come home to His whether we are excited about seeing him or doing so grudgingly.

Romans 10:21-  “But of Israel, he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
